Who are the themes for?
Our themes are designed for developers, agencies, and businesses building modern websites with Astro. Whether you're creating a client project, company site, or personal portfolio, these themes provide a professional foundation. They're ideal for those who value performance, clean code, and design flexibility.
Are design files included?
Design files (Figma, Sketch, etc.) are not included. Our themes focus on production-ready code with built-in design tokens for easy customization.
How much technical knowledge do I need to customize?
No coding knowledge is needed to update content—just edit JSON files for text, images, and menus. Colors, fonts, and spacing are managed in one place, so with basic HTML and CSS knowledge, changes are straightforward. For deeper customization such as adding or removing sections and layouts, familiarity with Astro is useful. The codebase is clean HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript, so intermediate and above developers can extend it freely.
Can I edit the theme with AI?
Yes. The JSON-based content structure and clean Astro components make it well-suited for AI-assisted editing. You can instruct AI to update JSON files or adjust components without needing to understand the full codebase. Note that using the theme as training data for AI models is prohibited under the license. See our License page for details.
Can I use these templates with WordPress or website builders?
No, these are Astro-specific themes and won't work with WordPress, Wix, or similar platforms. They're built for the Astro framework, which offers superior performance and developer experience. If you need a headless CMS, Astro integrates well with options like Contentful or Sanity. (Use a CMS with Astro)
How do I download new versions of my purchased themes?
You can download any new versions of the themes through the Polar.sh customer portal.
If I purchased a theme, can I use it for multiple projects?
It depends on your license type. The Personal License allows use on one personal or in-house project only (client work prohibited). The Agency License permits up to three projects including client work. For detailed terms, please review our License page.
Can I share the theme files with an outsourced developer or agency?
It depends on your license type. Under the Agency License, if you hire an external developer or agency to build or maintain a licensed project, you may share the theme files (including the ZIP package) with them, as long as they use it only for that project and delete the files once the project or engagement ends. You remain responsible for their compliance. The Personal License does not permit sharing the theme with an outsourced developer or any other third party. For full details, see our License page.
